Today Jason replaced all the batteries in our smoke detectors. We have never had to do this before because our old alarms didn't have batteries, but we had to replace all of the actual alarms last year and apparently these new ones need their batteries replaced once a year. If you forget, they have an extremely annoying beep to remind you.
The fire alarms are like that in our apartment too. We discovered the batteries were running low during the middle of the night when they started beeping really loud...that was fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd when u have like 12 in your house, and 1 goes off because the sound echoes it can be very difficult to determine which one needs a new battery. I have dealt with that. It wan't fun.
